Your system specs would be helpful, including which operating system you are
using and all drivers for mobo, video, sound and chipset (if you can find
that out). Also, this could be caused by a weak power supply.....the boot
occurring when the hard-drive kicks in to access the swap file? Its
possible...but so are many other things.

Everything worked fine for months; this just started yesterday.
Happens at random times. Sometimes on the track qualifying, sometimes
a lap or 2 into a race, sometimes in the garage. I'm wondering about
heat related probems. It was 90 yesterday, 95 where the computer is.
Funny thing is, everything else works fine.

I have same problem... This game worked fine for months and today I am
unable to play it: it crash over and over again. All of my other game or
application is ok. The game beginning to crash in championship in
indianapolis. The game freeze and even ctrl alt del can quit this game!
My system p3 550mhz
256 ram
ati radeon ddr 64 ....
