No in GPL you must lift off the throttle while downshifting otherwise it
will over rev. Blipping refers to just lightly pressing the throttle. So for
example while downshifting in N4 you must 'blip' the throttle while the car
goes through neutral while changing a gear. The helps to keep the revs up
and I think to help prevent the rear wheels locking??? not quite sure on
that. Its basically the same theory as "double declutching" in a road car.
Or though you may hear it referred to as "Heal and Toeing" that is doing the
same except you are doing it while braking hence the name Heal and Toe as
your left foot must control the accelerator and the brake at the same time
while your right is controlling the clutch pedal. Hmm just think of the fun
when ACT-Labs introduces their clutch system and we have to do this!!
