IBM Easy Options Flight Yoke & NASCAR

I just bought the aforementioned product to make NASCAR a bit easier and
more realistic. (Would have preferred a REAL steering wheel, but my
budget would not cooperate.) I'm having some trouble with it. I can get
it to work (finally), but after I finish a session and go back to the
menus, it just goes crazy again. I've tried hitting "J" as Papyrus
suggested, but that doesn't seem to do anything.
Anybody else out there using one of these things? If not, anybody got
any suggestions for problem resolution?
Thanks in advance!

I realize it doesn't fit your budget, but get rid of the IBM yoke.  It's
a piece of junk when used as a steering wheel.  Might be ok for flight
sims (don't know).  Save some money and at least get the thrustmaster
wheel.  Or as another option, get some rudder pedals and a good
joystick.  Right now, I'm waiting for a new steering POT from
Thrustmaster, and am using a CH flightstick and the thrustmaster pedals.
I think the pedals, more than the steering wheel, make the car easier to
drive.

Good luck with your racing.
