: Anyway here are more multi-player games on 1 computer....

: Any Fighting Game (esp. good are One Must Fall  & Mortal Kombat3)
: Most Pinball Games (Crystal Caliburn, Epic Pinball)
: A few Strategy games (Heroes of Might & Magic)
: As for racing or flight sims though, there are few....: (
: Too bad since not everyone has a LAN.

Loderunner Returns
Global Conquest, of course.

And let's not forget an all time classic...Links 386!  Or for that
matter Virtual Pool (for people with a too-small ba***t, like me).

World Circuit/F1 Grand Prix allows for seat switching while racing..not
quite the same as side by side...I sure hope F1GP2 keeps this option
alive...

And Worms. A new game on the block. Great game. Get the demo at
http://www.team17.com (I THINK it is team17, It might be another number).

Microsoft is not the answer.  Microsoft is the question.  Just say no.

The best two-player game ever, IMHO is Super Mario Kart on
the SNES. These systems are selling pretty cheaply now,
and you never get bored of this game. Also, watch out for
the four-player version which is released later this
year for the upcoming Ultra-64 from Nintendo.

If this is a repeat of someone else's, please excuse, but I believe
there is a WW1 air sim called "The Blue Max" which features
multi-player capability. It's cheap, too. I saw it in Wal-mart for
$9.99.

Er, Fraser. Nice to know, old stick, but 'rec.autos.simulators'?!?!

Actually, it's not nice to know. Anyone told you the console companies
are conning you? I wonder why 'PC versions' of console games are not
available before the 'exclusive console version'...? And then I see
a PC version of Ridge Racer that was written way before Christmas.

Worked it out yet?...

I kinda think You Don't Know Jack is worth a mention here... a kind of a trivia
game where up to 3 people each have a key as a buzzer... okay, it sounds like a
***idea, but it is really cool, with heaps of attitude, great sounds, and
really simple, nicely designed graphics...

Yup.  Time to hype this one again.  You Don't Know Jack is
awesome, go buy it, etc ...

BTW ... have you ever stayed til the end of the show and listened
to the commercials that play afterwards?  I nearly cacked my
pants :>
