TSW2 and F1 2001

I got my TSW2Mod working in F1 2001. I had to map the brake to the clutch
pedal. The normal brake pedal was way over sensitive, and I tried every in
game trick to fix it. But it does work when I use the clutch pedal as a
brake pedal. Unfortunately I don't have a clutch pedal to use in F1 2001
now.

Well, that's strange.  My clutch pedal and brake pedal have the same pot, pedal
travel, and tension.  How is yours different?

I didn't, and in that one respect, it's a valid point. But the other point I
believe you are trying to make, that TSW is making excuses for poorly
designed equipment. That is untrue. The TSW wheels are incredibly solid and
the layout is big part of why that is so. They are easy to repair, (A
feature I have yet to use, after three years.) and this too, lends to the
layout. They are switchable between two and three axis and this lends to the
layout. Whether or not they could have done it differently, I can't say...
not that smart. But I am smart enough to know that a game manufacturer who
puts out a game that does not try to find all the external hardware it may
need, given the nature of variety in PCs world wide, is not worthy of being
called a game manufacturer. There is no bigger bonehead blunder. It's like
the game not recognizing a GForce card for some reason. Unforgivable... and
the company should not be supported.

It is supposed to be a driving sim, after all. The should have expected a
wheel or two.

Sean,

the service and support I have received from TSW is  and has been incredible.
I find them completely trustworthy, and if they tell me that they have
failed setting up their wheel over the last four days with F1 2001 I
assume that they are telling the truth.

Just look at the other issues with F1 2001 mentioned here, and you
might begin to have an idea where to point the finger.

It's no surprise the "better" sim companies have programmed their own
controller setup functions instead of relying on the shit that MS
provides.
