Is there/will there be a way to convert NR2002 paint jobs to NR2003?  I have a
couple of fictionals that I like and would like to take with me when I go to
NR03.  Any advice or help appreciated.....

After NR2003 comes out someone may create a way to convert paint jobs.

To say Nope, is a little extreme.

There isn't one for N4 to N2k, (that I've heard of anyway, fwiw), so I
don't think it's extreme at all.

There is, but its pretty bad.  Since the new car templates will most likely be a higher res like
1024x1024 and might have a totally different orientation, just like going form N4 to NR2002, it will
always look much better to recreate them yourself.  And of course most of the car guys use Photoshop
or the equivalent with all the individual layers so that gooing back to the original artwork is
really ez.  You probably recreate your custom cars in about 1 hour each or less...

I think I read somewhere that the resolution of the templates did not
change, so moving the paintjobs over (manually) should be a fairly
simple matter.  The only thing they raised the resolution on was the
pit crews and trackside objects.

The ease of transition depends on whether or not yout're using an
external paint program like PSP or Photoslop, and whether or not you
have the layered files.
