CMR - Jerky - HELP

Hello,

ColinMcRae runs perfectly when it switches to my voodoo2-board, but when it
drops to the conventional graphic card graphics the picture is jerky and
superslow - it takes hours to repair the car and change
chassis-configuration - the cmr-faq says that i should use the older drivers
(!!) of my matrox millenium card but it didnt help - no response when
contacting codemasters via their website - the patch didnt help either - is
there anybody out there who has the same problem and maybe has a soultion ?
I do think, that their is also a problem with the copy-protection since the
game wont run on my cd-drive but on the cd-r (!) - is there a no-cd-patch ?

CMR - Jerky - HELP

This may not help but I had the same problem with my P233mmx, 64meg ram. I
just changed it to a P450II and 128meg and it now flies on the set-up
screens. It looks to me like bad programming if you need such a machine to
run the config screens without it being jerky and un-responsive.

thanx for your reply - but since im running the game on a pII-300 with 256
MB.-Ram I wouldnt think that this is a processor-power-related-problem - I
think it has something to do with the communication between the programm and
my 2d-card - thanx anyway
