gp2: Help needed: T2 or GP1

I used A LOT OF TIME, getting used to the GP1 without steering help. My
major problem was the relationship between how much you turn the wheel, and
how much the car steers. After fiddling with the wheel lock, and the
reduction with speed, I finally got it all right (Havn't got the data on
this PC, but I can get them if it has any interrest)
BTW, I use the opposit lock help.
With this one on, I'm able to correct a powerslide, without it, I just spin
off and off and off..... ;-)
After getting used to not having any steering aid, I wouldn't drive any
other way. Even on a good day, I have problems getting pole on ace level.
Much more fun.....

I have perfected my T2.CON setup, try this:

STEERING

low sens zone: 67%
max lock: 11 deg (yes, it works)
reduce with speed: 50%

No settings for throttle or brake.

Try it, I don't use steering help or opp lock help and I can compete at Ace level

What speed computer and what are you using for your game controller?

I have a Cyrix 686/P166+ with an S3Trio64V+. 16Meg EDO RAM. I don't think this is
critical - a slower computer would just run on less detail (I run on about 75% of
max detail, as an approximation). I just use the port on my sound card, no fancy
game port.

BTW, when you calibrate your T2, turn the wheel as far as it will go, if you
undercalibrate even slightly it will be too sensitive.

Hope this helps,
