N2: Drafting at DEGA

Hi, Im running a 25% lenght race at DEGA and Sometimes I make it on gas
sometimes I don't.  If I don't make it, I run out of gas with 1 lap to
go.  It actually seems that when I make it I had two yellow flags during
the race.  What I am wondering is will drafting increase my fuel milage
on the game or should I put the pedal to the metal and hope I don't
***up in the pits and settle for 8th or 9th.

Suggestions, Comments?

On the Super Speedway tracks that I changed to unrestricted, I had
found the AI cars had unbelievable fuel mileage until I changed the AI
cars pit window to a figure that is line with mine. At one track In a
50 lap race, I had to pit around lap 35 while the AI cars could make
it without pitting. Now we all pit within a lap of one another.

Note, I run 100% opponent strenght, no yellows, no pace lap.

You can always create a yellow when you don't get one and are desperate ; )

Drafting will help your mileage, so long as you're drafting close
enough to have to back off the throttle sometimes. (It's the backing
off that actually helps the mileage, not the drafting. But the
drafting causes the backing off, so...)

yes it will. i have been burned by this so i know. i led the second draft
as the guys i was runing with were not as fast and the lead draft went one
more lap than me and i was in the pit as the yellow came out. i know it was
the draft as we were running a 50% lenght ace race so we all started with
the same fuel load.
