I'd say this is second only to cars that don't start right away.
It really is an irritating problem and I hope it will be addressed
soon!  The other day a guy just parked right after the start finish
line. You can imagine the mess it caused.  Frankly I don't know what
the best solution is.

The best way to finish is just like in the 'real world'. The drivers
should run out their lap after they have finished and park in the pit,
infront of their pit-area. In the run-out lap rules like in yellow flag
situations should be adapted.

It is difficult to inform race-sim. players to do it this way, but this
is one of the few way's to finish a race in real and in simulation.

Well, I have only been on Hawaii for about two months.  I have this
simple question..What does it really matter (not that I like it) that
people hit each other after the race is over (I do not do it)?  Now I
understand that stopping on the finish line is a different story, but
if someone hits you in turn 3 after the race is over, what harm have
they done?  Is it just because you want it to be as real as possible?
This is a serious question, I am not poking fun because I really do
not like it either...

All the fuss is because currently (I could be wrong here) these wrecks
still count as incidents just like those in the middle of a race.  As you
probalbly already know, every incident you are involved in, no matter whose
fault it is, counts a little against your skill level.

Why can't the server just warp you to the pits after you pass the S/F line at
the end of a race to solve this once and for all?

I don't think post-race incidents count, at least as far as I've been able
to tell from analyzing race logs.

As usual, the solution is to join a league. In my league, running into
another car deliberately at any time, even after the race is over, is
grounds for expulsion from the league. That might sound harsh, but if you
are looking for total immersion into the "racing experience", even the
small details count.

As far as the standings and skill ratings it makes no difference.
