Its a sound standard made popular through the SoundBlaster Live series of
cards, but supported on others as well. A3D from the now bankrupt Aureal
company is/was the main competition in the sound arena but seems to be
destined for the same fate as the betamax video standard. Darn shame - A3D
has some great 3d positioning.
If I was an hardware manufacturer, I would be scared when I noticed
that Papyrus supports my product... <g>

LOL! Whatever did happen to Rendition anyway? Were they acquired by someone
else?
