Having played the demo, should I buy NFS II SE? NO! Why not?
For the same reason POD sucks.
Because the speed of the computer opponents is related to your speed.
You can drive like sea turtle in syrup, bounce off at every roadside
object, if you drive well the last round you end up first anyway.
You can drive like michael schumacher in a williams renault, if
you make one little steering fault at the last corner some
computer-opponent arsehole appears to have been right at you back and
overtakes you with the speed of michael schumacher fleeing from the
press after accidently having proved to be a spoiled little bastard
who happens to have a lot of talent.
That's why the game from those F1GP2 persons still remains the best
driving game up till now. Even though they are dead most of the time.

There should be an age recommendation on this kind of game (< 12 yrs.)

Don't you all agree?

Your point is well taken however I find it kind of boring racing alone
and therefor kind like the 'catchup' feature of NFS2. I do however think
that TOCA does a much better job at catchup than NFS2's blatent approach
to it. NFS2 seems to have too much extreme speed changes of the computer
opponents. TOCA does catchup in a nice subtle way causing one to be in
and amonst drivers dicing for the lead.

NFS2 SE will not be on my bookshelf but TOCA might.
