I've got no doubt it will be great.  These guys have already got the runs on
the board.  Heck if it is as good as GTR 2002 but with a dedicated server
I'd but it.

"IF" they are using F1c as a licensed code-base, tthen the good news is
that sim already has changing day and night skylines.  The later into the
night, the darker the sky.  And it does already have changing weather
effects too.  I'm not 100% sure but I beleive I read that F1C already has
had the 2hour time limitation removed.  So "IF" the latest ISI openwheel
sim is the starting point,  we "Should" be able to race 24hrs with changing
weather and lighting.

I, too, think EA's controller setups are crap.  Too many screens, too many
settings, and just plain too hard to get right.

Everyone else can do it on one or two screens.  I'm not sure why they can't.

You can never win  :)))

Option A - don't give people options to fiddle with - "Missing Essential
Feature!"

Option B - give people options to fiddle with "Far too complicated!"

I think no user interface is the way to go :P

All the best,
Ash
http://www.siroccoracing.com - No user interface :))

hehe I can just see it now...
e:\games\lfs\lfs.exe -car lx6 -track so1 -ai pro -laps 15... etc

I don't think that'll satisfy too many people either :)

But yeah, I would imagine a GUI is quite a challenge to design to be
both functional and intuitive. And if they manage to get that right,
then people will say it's ugly. :)

esp. the "dedicated server" bit... I wonder if they know something
about an on-and-coming F1C patch ;-)

Are they using an ISI engine?  I thought they were developing this in
house.

Thunder 2004 has a dedicated server, dunno how well it works as the
sim is so repulsive I uninstalled it before I could try.
