TOCA handling

TOCA handling

Is it just me, or is the handling in TOCA distinctly unrealistic?

I tried it on a friend's machine, first on keyboard and then on an anologue
controller I've hacked together from a 2-ch RC transmitter.  As I got used
to it I found that the best way to get round corners was to apply more power
until I was turning into a hairpin in third and then slamming the throttle
wide.

From experience with 4WD model race cars and FWD real cars, that's surely a
guaranteed way to go head-first into the nearest wall!

Nice game.  Not a sim.
IMHO

This is not a sim, nothing in this world turns a corner like this, but it
is a great racing game.
It has just enough sim features to suck in the purists and yet is easy
enough for the game playing public. If your having problems finding serious
sim racers for network racing give this one a go.

I agree there, the car seems to respond a bit like a RWD when on the
power. I know that the Super Tourershave come along a long way with
regards to understeer, but I doubt that slamming the gas kicks the tail
out:)

I enjoy the "bumps" and engine "jerks", and the tracks are very
realistic. Hope they will listen, and make a sim out of it....

All Best,
Matt

I also agree 100%. Also, it's not possible to lock a car's wheels.
Obviously this is an instrumental part of super touring, as all the cars
are FWD; lock up and you're in the sandpit!

Really? I've never locked a wheel and I always slam the brakes full on!
Maybe you were hit from behind while braking and punted off!
