Doesn't look like he's changed the mechanical design from the original
pedals, and if that's the case there's plenty of travel, I wouldn't
trade my set for "anything" :)

Nigel, I prefer the original design myself, but I imagine the red one
would go nicely with a red Logitech Momo :)

Hello Goy

Nice to hear from ya. Hope you are doing well.
Thanks for your comments. Yeah after I assembled it I stood back and was not
really sold on the red.
When I showed it to my wife she took too long to decide, and I know thats
when she has a doubt.

It was worth the look

John

Funny you should say that because most of the people that have my RRC 's
shorten the travel. It's fully adjustable in that way.

You know what they say, happy customers are worth their weight in
gold...or something like that :), the old unit isn't being used much
these days, call me semi-retired from sim racing, the fun went out of it
a couple of years and now I'm only dabbling, but if I decide to come
back "full time" I'll still have the best pedal set known to man :)

No flames, just a question:

I own the Logitech Momo USB (red). I'm sure the instructions
on how to "marry" the Momo and another USB pedal set were posted
here before, but... any pointers?

You don't need to 'marry' them up. Just put the momo pedals set to one
side, plug a better pair in, map them in your sim of choice and off you go.

Hi Ronald

While the RRCs are not USB directly they can be used via the Rockfire
gamesport-to-USB adapter. I have one and I think it is brilliant. Providing
the pedal unit has high grade 250k pots (which the RRC's do) the adpater
works very well. I can get the adapter here in New Zealand but it labels as
the DSE brand.

So with both the steering unit and RRCs plugged into the separate USB ports
all games that have been done properly will "see" both controllers and you
setup in Windows and the games to use two controllers.
I just did this with my analogue steering plugged into the USB via the
adapter and then plugged in the pedals via the games port  and setup both
controller in Nascar 2002, GTR, GPL and RFactor. They all ran as expected
using both controllers.
Normally I use both my pedals and steering via the adapter thru a Y splitter
cable. The adapter offers rock solid calibration. The games port jitters all
over the place.

Hope this helps

Thanks for the info. I was worried about same axis being used by both
controllers without realizing that they are seen by XP as two separate
devices. Duh! So it's just the sim's task to support two devices.

Okay, now I just have to convince myself to spend ~300 Euros on a
(great) pedal set...

Not really. Plus I got a good exchange rate. Well worth the money - you
get what you pay for, after all. Had the for three yrears now, same pots
and same springs.

You won't be disappointed Ronny. I've had mine for a few years and they're
as solid now as they were when new.
Nice job Nige... :-)

I have a terrible memory. In fact my memory's so bad I can't remember how
long it's been since I've forgotten anything.

Take a look at this:
http://www.tytlandsvik.no/momo/
The adapter let's you remove the pedal unit and it's wire harness
completely. No need to cut wires or solder anything. You plug in the adapter
into the wheel and plug USB and Power into the adapter.
