impression to post here, then I'm off to a friend's baseball game.
I ran a quick race at Hockenheim in Mika's '99 McLaren. Some high points:
- The cars seem more squirrelly under braking than before. Locking up for
any time at all results in a spin more often than not. This means the cars
a bit more difficult to control, but it also makes them feel a bit more
"real."
- When letting off of the gas quickly towards the end of a long straight, I
could feel the rear of the car move around a little as the weight
transferred forward. Unreal.
- The FFB does a GREAT job of making the car feel lighter going over some of
the rises in the stadium section
- The AI seem more aware of each other and of you now; it's more fun to race
against them and to watch them race each other.
Those are some early things I noticed. I've got to run, but I'll try to
post some more impressions later as I get more seat time.
Bottom line: BIG thumbs up!
