First, let me say that I enjoyed playing around with this track.
However, what's the track surface made of... superglue?  Even
with no wings I can run around and around and around at 330+kph.
I run out of engine long before I run out of grip (even with the
car dropped right to the floor I can only get 335kph).  Also,
why are the CCs so slow?

How far around is the track?  An IndyCar, er, CART Champ Car
can run around Michigan all day long at 330 kph without even
straining.  Oh, and where can this track be found? :)

It's been a couple of days since I drove this one but I think it takes
~50s a lap at 210-215mph which would make it just under 3 miles in
length.  At those kind of speeds even with minimum levels of wing a 1994
spec F1 car (on which GP2 is based) would generate something of the
order of 3000 pounds of downforce against a car weight of 590kg / 1100
pounds.  This should be sufficient to keep the car on the track with no
problem.

It may be that the track grip has been altered to attempt to mimic the
banking of a superspeedway oval because GP2's graphics engine does not
support track banking.

The track can be downloaded from Pieter's / Sjion's page at

Anyone who has ever run at Michigan can actually lap at 380+kph

Are there any counterclockwise ovals out there??

( Yeh, Yeh, I practiced turning left but it's no fun without other cars!)
