NR1999 - Michigan - AI's run a 188.4 in practice @ 100%!?

Last night I was practicing for an N2 offline league using my newly optained
NR1999.  From what I have read, most everything is the same in N2 and
NR1999. (No, I was not going to run my actual race in NR1999!) Now, after
running several laps before on Michigan and a 100% race at California, I
have developed a car setup that is fast (not super fast) and consistant.
Using my trusty setup, I set out for some warm up. About 5 laps into my
practice, I pull off some laps over the 185.5+ (a fast lap of 186.5).  So, I
check the speed sheet (F2) and saw that I was running 5th on the sheet!  The
fastest car in the field, ran a 188.4!  Is this right?  Did they put into
acount new pavement, that my car is not running on?  Dang! Guess I got to
get me a new setup!

Oh, by the way, I love them trucks!

And one more for all of you GPL people!  Love it!  Played the first demo (w/
software acceration) and loved it.  Installed the demo from the NR1999 CD
and what a difference! (I have also optained a Rendition V1000 video card).
First lap, Not a problem! Opps, forgot to take off the steering, braking and
shifting help. No comment on the second lap.

I'm not positive, but I think it's correct.  What weather conditions are you
racing in?  I think reguardless of weather, the AI always runs about the same
speed at the same AI level.

Would you mind sharing your car setup?  I haven't competed in any of the races yet.
Offline and on line.  Thanks
