nascar2 help

Does anyone know how to get nascar2 to recognize the steering wheel when
accessing n2 tru win95? I am using a t2, and it works fine in dos. Win
95 sees the t2 and I am able to calabrate it there. But when I go into
nascar2 "it" only sees the keyboard. I have tried everything frm
thrustmaster but to no avail. Thanks much for any help.

Hello,
With the T2, thrustmaster gives you some converters to add on. Hook up
everything together and put it into the back port. Restart your computer.
Then calibrate it in windows as a 2 axis, 4 bottons, and a special device
race car controler. Then it should calibrate correctly if you listen to the
instruction word for word. I had the same problem before so by now I now
what effect it does. Also you will have to re-calibrate all the other
programs that worked with the joystick because the converter changes the
format the computer recieves the data. What the converter does is, to make
the cammand from a stering wheel and peddle format --> joystick format.
Then everything should work perfectly fine as it did in dos.

Unfortunately he said Win95 already recognizes the T2 as he can
calibrate it in the Joystick Control Panel.  His problem is that
despite this, Nascar2 still will not detect the wheel, leaving him with
only keyboard controls.  I've heard of one other person having this
same problem, and unfortunately he hasn't found a fix either.

I would suggest looking to see if it will work with a JOYSTICK connected
instead of the T2.

Well, after having my T1 cord chewed through by my cat, I finally moved my
T2 over to my Pentium.  Where Win95 , T1 and N2 had no problems,  the T2
doesn't.  It calibrates fine in Win95, but when I go to N2 from Win95, the
keyboard controls are all I get.  The T1 was, and the T2 is plugged into
the SB16 game port.  I have a CH game port, but I ran out of ISA slots to
stick it in.  Any ideas as to why the T1 would work, but the T2 won't?

Both work fine in DOS, and both calibrate fine in Win95.  Converter is
installed, of course, and JS1 is setup as custom, 2 axis, 4 button, special
= race car controller.  Any suggestions?

The T1 has been fixed, but I kind of like that fat steering wheel.....
Hey, guess I could just swap wheels!  Maybe that is the fix.....  The T2
pedals bite anyway.....  Literally....

Thanks,
