I'm also quite happy with OBS on the MSI Neo K2 something, but granted
this is my Linux system.

I agree with #1. Extend that to onboard network adapters to.  Usually,
the onboard components suck or ***out soon after buying the board.

Hey - that is a proper PC I spec'ed for you :).  It's not kick-ass, but
you would get decent *** enjoyment, and have room to grow (new CPU
or overclock with a bigger h/s - AMD64s are pretty good overclockers -
new video card, second SATA hd, etc)

I'd love to post the videos, but they're kinda big - I've deleted the
source files, so I'd have to reencode from the DVDs.  Find me a few
hundred free mb's and I'll throw them out there :).

Duh! - I've got Azureus (bittorrent) - can you burn a DVD?  I'll just
seed the DVD source files in a torrent.

says...

That's an absolutely false statement. There is not yet any difference in
the performance of the two form factors.  The *real* difference in
performance between AGP and PCIex video cards is that they aren't making
the faster cards available for AGP any longer (despite claiming not to
abandon the form factor).

If you have a relatively new AGP video card and feel a sharp stabbing
paing in your ass when you think of the purchase price of not just a new
motherboard, but a new high-buck video card as well, consider looking at
the AS-Rock Dual SATA II motherboard. It has BOTH a fully-functional AGP
slot AND a PIC-EX slot. This will let you keep your agp card for now,
and swap it out with a PCI-Ex card later.  If this board had been
available a year ago, I woulda bought one because I also had a brand new
X800XTPE and I was (and still am) relunctant to spend another $500 on
yet another "top-of-the-line" video card.

I don't think I said there was a difference in performance. But at least
where I live (Norway) a X800 AGP is more expensive than a X800 PCIe. Maybe
this is different in the US but I would suspect the situasion is the same in
the Netherlands.
