Is it just me, or is Chicago one hell of a fun track to race?

It's wide, well banked, and you can keep yer foot in it most of the time.

The only thing I haven't quite mastered is the entry.  It's tricky here,
because it's hard to keep the rear-end planted, and when you start to spin
out here it happens REAL fast.

I love it too. I think alot of the entry problem is because its a one groove
track. as a new track should be. I was racing some friends there the other
night and it was a blast. We could catch each other, but as soon as we got
outta the gray we would slide right up to the wall. Three of us went about
10 - 20 laps nose to tail waiting for the other to make a mistake and hoping
we were in position to take advantage of it.

I passed several other drivers on the Outside at Chicago. Great track, I
can't believe I'm saying that, because it's a cookie cutter track, and I
don't like cookie tracks normally.

I'm actually suprised at how different most all of the so-called "cookie
cutter" tracks (1.5 D-ovals) really are Jeff.  Chicagoland and Kansas are
totally unique and both are really fun to race on.

How much faster overall where you than them? the three of us were all within
a tenth on our lap times. The differance and track grip made enough
differance that it was to pass if you got too high. I'm not saying we were
that good, more like we all sucked the same. :)

Yes, it's a 1.5 miler,  but it races a LOT different from the rest at least
:)
