TM Pro Digital 2 - brake doesn't respond

by Kosm » Wed, 28 Nov 2001 02:56:34

I've been succesfully using my TM NASCAR Pro Digital 2 USB wheel for about
two months.  I got rid of that computer and installed the wheel on a new
computer.  The computers are identical except for the processor.  The old
one was a PIII 800, and the new one is a PIII 1000.  They are running
Win98se with 384 mb ram,and DX8.0 with the wheel plugged into the USB root.
The wheel no longer functions correctly.  When observing the movement of the
device in both the control panel and Thrustmapper, all axis' work fine
except the brake.  The brake does not move.  I get the same result in
combined or seperate axis mode.

I've tried the drivers from the CD, as well as 2.19, 2.33, and 3.08 with no
success.  I've also installed the MS update for Thrustmaster with no result.

I've also installed the wheel on a different computer and get the same
result....no brake indication, but throttle and steering function properly.

I dis-asembled the base, and all the wires are connected firmly to the POTS,
and the gear assembly is functioning properly.

I don't know what else to do.

Thanks for your help
