Steve - The chassis issue and use of plates was really a best guess and
judgement call by Richard the designer as well as those of use that had been
testing it. Since it is such a large high speed track we decided this gave
the best fit for good overall racing. Some of the other types are not as
well suited to higher banked turns and speeds. Its only the first release
so hopefully overtime with more feedback we can tweak it and make it even
better.
One of the fun things with this track that I find is in designing the setup.
We have found that people can run different speeds at different areas by a
large margin and still end up with similar lap times so it becomes a
balancing act or a trade off on where you want the best handling and speed.
