Absolutely. But a paragraph about what is on the site, what language
it's in if not English, and maybe what might be there in the future, is
far better than a URL on its own (as you said), and would save a lot of
wasted journeys. In any case, after the first mention (with an
[ANNOUNCE] tag if the NG uses them), why not simply put the URL in your
sig, where no-one will object to it?

Eh? I've never heard anyone say you shouldn't mention relevant links in
a post. Completely gratuitous bad language, however...

Oh, come on - haven't you ever heard of Dejanews? It may be having
hiccups at the mo, but it works OK for that sort of thing.
