They are the special purpose Q3 UNSUPPORTED drivers. Ppl say the
groove is too dark but they work.

It's very easy actually, the 3Dfx Voodoo1 and Voodoo2 cards are
something as rare as a dedicated 3D card, it has no 2D function at all,
and as such will sit happily next to just about any video card you may
have in your computer, there was some issues with some S3 cards at one
point, but you needn't worry about that
So no need for special configs or anything, just plug it in, put the
pass-through cable from your existing vid card to the V2 card (the V1 is
really not up to the task any more) and plug the monitor in the V2 card,
install the drivers and you have the best of both worlds, you can even
use to V2 cards together to get even better speed, cool solution eh, too
bad 3Dfx dropped it

I wish they would have made a V3 version in 3D only, I have a V3 3500
now, but I'm looking to replace that with......something, but I also
need a 3Dfx card of some sort for GPL, so I'm looking for a Quantum
Obsidian to go alongside whatever I choose, I don't have room for a SLI
setup anymore...
The V1/2 cards was an excellent choice for those with "onboard" graphics
cards as well, so easy to add to whatever you ran before, and they sold
tons of them, hard to understand why they didn't keep this alongside
their 2d/3d range of cards
