Does anyone see how stupid these threads really are?
Why does everyone feel that everyone should be using the same cards. If you
like the TNT use it. If you like Voodoo2, use it.
Geez, move on already....

I agree, you can NOT trust the recommended specs that game makers put on the
bottom of the box. Usually the recommended, is in fact the minimum
requirements in order to play the game with decent frame rate, options
turned on, etc...
While I'm disappointed that more racing sim makers don't support D3D, or
OpenGL (I've got a Riva128) I do enjoy reading what people who do have games
like GPL feel is the "true" recommend requirements to actually enjoy the
game.
BTW, on that topic, I've got a PII 266 w/64 meg SDRAM, and as I said a PCI
based Riva128 4meg 2d/3d video card.
Now that 3dfx prices have fallen, I'm considering getting a low end Voodoo
II or a high end Voodoo 1 (amount of RAM is what I mean by low and high
end).
I'd rather not spend more than $100, any recommendations????
Thank's!
