Ok, you've been waiting to see something geuinely jaw-dopping from GP3?
Well, it's just arrived.  Go to http://www.racesimcentral.net/
download some of those short movies.  They are simply stunning.  You'll need
an avi compression codec to view them, which you can get from
http://www.racesimcentral.net/ (700k).  The movies are apparently captures from German
tv, which got hold of a final copy today.
These movies restore my faith in GP3...
Try the first one in the list, it shows an extremely convincing wet track.

A big thanks to Schorle for capturing and uploading them.

Strange.

Hitting that link 3 times, first I got some dictionary meaning for the
word ***, 2nd was some pdf files, third was a Yahoo member page not
found and 4th I got an index of around 8 files.

I wonder what I'll get when I actually play these AVI's. ;/

Cheers,
Rod.

Yeah, I don't know what that's about but it's nothing to do with me.
I just tried the page again and got re-directed a few times before the
proper page came up correctly.  It might have been because geocities has
been down.  The movies are definitely there, and they are definitely from
GP3.  :)

Try this direct link instead http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_13.avi ,
that should work.  And heres the rest (0.5 - 2 MB in size)-

http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_14.avi
http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_17.avi
http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_21.avi
http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_22.avi
http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_25.avi
http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_26.avi
http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_27.avi
http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_28.avi
http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_29.avi

I haven't seen them all yet but the wet weather movies are extremely
impressive.  Again, thanks to Schorle.

By the way, for anyone who doesn't want to download them all, check out the
first two, http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_13.avi and
http://www.geocities.com/ose75orxy/GP3_14.avi which both feature wet weather
and are the most impressive.  Also remember they won't play without that
codec.

Sorry about the multiple posts on this subject, but make sure you
right-click and "save-as", just left clicking will launch Windows Media
Player and attempt to stream the files in real time, which most likely won't
be fast enough.

OK, I've got the first two.
Now stupid media player won't find/get the right codec.
(Using the one in Win2K)

Does anyone know how to fix this?

Michael

If you LISTEN GP3_28.avi you'll recognise that he use a MS FF Wheel without the

And if you look the position of the steering wheel compared to car trajectory
you can deduct that he had steering help ON.  Especially in GP3_29.AVI.

Michael,

I really hope you have figured this out by now but to quote from the
original post " You'll need an avi compression codec to view them,
which you can get from http://divx.ctw.cc (700k). "

Works like a charm.
