New version of GP2

Does anyone know if a new version of GP2 is on the horizon?
and is so, what graphics card are they going to be using to develop the
sim.

I am in the market to purchase a 3d graphics card. I am a GP2 fan. I
recently purchased
"formula 1" by "psygnosis". I need a 3d graphics card to play this,
however.
From what I have heard, the game is terrible. In other words, the best F1
sim is still GP2.
I do not want to purchased a card that will not work with the future
version of GP2.

Micropose is probably developing a new version that takes advantage of the
new 3d technology...

Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Gostal

I wouldn't get your hope's up. Microprose doesn't own any of the code
to Grand Prix 2. Geoff Crammond took everyone's money from Gp2 and
split!

I don't see how you can be so sure... What's the big fascination
everyone here has with Crammond suddenly disappearing with our money?

Pure speculation is all that it is...

Various postings to this newsgroup within the last two months have
stated that European (British?) computer-*** magazines are
reporting that there is a new version of GP2 in the works. As I
recall, one of these postings mentioned an interview with someone
involved in development of the new software.

Promising, hopeful  news for us GP2 fans, but I'd advise adopting a
"wait and see" attitude.

From what i hear, gp2 will be like it is forever. Rumors say that gp3 will
have 3d support for nealy all 3d cards. There is also a new rendition
chipset coming out.
