HELP!!.GPL DESIGNERS

OK....I've tried just about everything i can possibly do and imagine
yourself in my position and having the same problem and trying to
correct this with absolutely no results.
GPL will NOT save my wheel calibrations from boot to boot up of the
game...everytime in VROC i host a race...i am forced to recalibrate my
wheel.(nascar sprint)
I never had this problem until the patch came out.
even when i JOIN a race on VROC i have to recalibrate.I thought i had
figured it out on that aspect of it but yesterday evening when i joined
a race....same results...recalibrate....
even OFF-line the game asks me to re-calibrate....
I know you may be asking yuorself if i have a bad pot on my pedal but
then this problem would occur when i try the wheel on my other racing
sims which it does not.
i have spent the better part of all week with whatever time ive had
trying to trouble-shoot this problem and i keep coming back to the same
result.....
also my brakes in the game when i do get it going are so touchy that
it's become undriveable.I can calibrate the wheel with DIRECT input
drivers and the brakes lockup very badly depressing my brake pedal
almost with no preassure applied. On GENERIC input setting, the complete
opposite....it's like the brake help is back on again or the pedal isnt
being recognized at all....very very poor brake response
So im quite puzzled and i am appealing for your kind help in this
matter....or any suggestions you may have....
I never had this problem with GPL before the patch came out so i tried
my wheel with my other racing sims....(indycar racing, viper racing,GP2
and nascar2)and the settings hold on those games and the wheel and
pedals act like they should so it cant be a bad pot on the pedal.
I've even gone as far as to re-core my DIRECTx 6.1 for windows 98.
same result....
I did think i had it solved yesterday in an off-line test race and it
seemed to be working fine.....then after coming back from work after a
cold reboot of my computer,i went to VROC and joined a race......i had
to recalibrate and the problem returned...same thing when i tried to
host a race in vroc shortly afterwards.
I am just stumped as to why this is happening and I do NOT want to stop
playing this sim.
any ideas would be quite welcome at this time.....smile

thanks for your time
hope to hear from you

Update your TM software and drivers (version 1.3). I believe this was
one of the problems addressed.

Could also be the old drivers. Or just the general crappiness of the
pedals. I'd recommend ditching the pedal unit alltogether and using
the paddles for throttle/brake. Much longer range of motion and
split-axis control.

no it's not my pedals...it's your darn patch....i de-installed the whole
mess today.....and reinstalled the game...my pedals work perfectly on
ver 1.0....and when i patch the game to ver 1.0.0.3 that is when i start
to have my problems......quite frankly i'm very disappointed.
