I'm trying to create a copy of the CD and keep getting an error
message.  Has anyone been successful in creating a copy, or has EA done
something to the original CD to prevent this?

Thanks,
Bob

Bob,

The NFS:PU CD is copy protected, but you can go to
http://www.gamecopyworld.com/ to find some help with this.

Hope that helps!

Muchas gracias, mi amigo!

BTW, if you're interested in a Saturday morning N3 league, let me know.

***, *** you. Yes, I think the disk is protected with "safedisk".
You are getting a "bad sector" message?
I had trouble getting the no-cd crack for NFSHS to work. Good luck.

No, no, a friend of mine suggested that I make backup copies for safe keeping
of certain game CD's that he saw in my collection.  Then he really went out
of his way to offer to store them at his house in case there was a fire or
something here.  What a guy!  <VBG>

By the way, I can only run online with my original CD in the computer, not
with the cracked .exe from gamecopyworld.  Is this normal?  The multiplayer
dialog connects, then loses the connection if I am running the cracked .exe.

(For those wringing their hands at the possibility of another pirated copy,
I own the game and I run it on a notebook.  I hate bringing the CD with me
for my daily commute on the train).

How do you manage to carry around your wheel/pedals but not a CD.

And if you aren't using a wheel/pedals then why are you even playing
this game?

Bob,

I might be...  Is this an online or offline league?  I'm finally getting
tired of "stupid AI tricks" in N3.  I've actually been doing some Viper
Racing and GPL racing lately...  I think I'll be ready for the advanced
physics and AI of NASCAR Heat and NASCAR Racing 4 when they finally come
out.  I haven't gotten into any online leagues because I'm not sure I can be
consistant enough in my race attendance to be worth my while.  I guess
quality pickup races would be where I'd like to race, but perhaps I should
get involved in a league for more fun.  My BellSouth connection has been
acting up lately, so I don't know if I'd warp like crazy or not.

Thanks for the invite...

I use the keyboard.  All NFS titles have great keyboard support.

Hmmm... because it's fun?  And because it's fun.  Oh, and because it's fun.
I don't break any records with the keyboard, but I can still race reasonably
well.  I can also do alot of the tedious buying, selling and parts upgrades
while riding the train.  As for a wheel and pedals, I don't use them
anymore.  I bought a little Interact controller, much like a RC car
controller, and it is brilliant.  On long trips away from home I throw it
into my bag with the notebook.  On a desktop I get the same times in GPL
with this little controller as with  a full wheel and pedals.
