Microprose Virtual Karts

Has anyone tried Virtual Karts? I just bought it for my husband as a
'pre-christmas' gift and the sound is really low. It's not a problem with
any of our other simulations (Nascar, ICR, ICRII, NFS, SuperKarts, GP) so
I suspect it's something with the program. Can anyone help?

          I bought Virtual Karts too (Germany) and the Sound is very
          low too. You are right, its something with the program :-).
          Anyway, I like it. It works wit my Thrustmaster T2 Wheel
          and the driving feeling is not so bad (except the sound).
          But I waiting for F1GP2
