ICR2 and joystick problem

by Bob Phinne » Wed, 03 Dec 1997 04:00:00

Still cannot get ICR2 to recognize my joystick. As I've said before, it
works fine with N2 or GP2. I've tried everything I can think
of...re-installing, deleting calib files etc. mouse and keyboard work..but
not the joystick. My version of ICR2 is 1.0..I've tried adding the patches
but nothiung seems to work. As I recall....I think when I had my 486 I had
to add a gameport with a control that slowed the port down. Now I have a
P133...should I also have to add a gameport with speed control...or is it

If it's the 95 version, yes you'll have to add the controler and =
calibrate it in windows 95 too.

I don't know if you've tried this, but worked for me when I had problems
getting Icr2 to recognize my T2. Go into your Nascar 2 directory, and find
your control.cfg  file. Highlite it, click on copy. Now, go to your Icr2
directory, find the same control.cfg file, highlite, and click on paste. It
will ask you if you want to overwrite the file. Say yes. This should put
the same configuration you have for N2 into Icr2.

This is just a wild and stupid suggestion (but sometimes they work).
Try pressing "J" key at the main menu.  This will toggle the joystick
routine on or off.
