Modem Problems

Please help!
I wish to play either Grand Prix or Grand Prix II using my internal modem
with a friend but it doesn't work.

My internal modem is a Dataflex which rests on Com 3 and has an IRQ
setting of 10 and a DMA of 3. It is a plug and play modem which I use with
windows 95.

I tried using the comsetup program in Grand Prix 2 to intialise the third
com port (normally blanked out) and specified the address of my internal
modem. In Grand Prix I could select com port 3, but in Grand Prix 2 I
could not. Even with Grand Prix there is no communication between modem
and computer. The modem won't respond to any commands given by the  Grand
Prix program.

All this takes place in a DOS prompt under windows 95. To test whether the
modem does work at all under these conditions I used a DOS comms program
to hook up to my ISP and download a file, and that worked perfectly.
Yet I have all these problems under Grand Prix one and two.

Can anyone help please?

Replies by email appreciated.
