Anyone know how to install more than 1 game controller?

Hey, I need some help.

I just got a Thrustmaster wheel and when I installed the
software that came with it, it made my MS Sidewinder Pad
diisappear.  Then if I reinstall the Sidewinder software, the
Thrustmaster wheel gets replaced???  How can I install both,
so that they are both items in the control panel????

Set both controllers up in the W95 controller box and save....
deselect/reselect which ever one youi intend to use. You will
not have to keep setting them up!  I use a an electronic switch
box with two inputs (press fire button on the controller to use)
which then feeds into the game port (15 pin) of my sound card.
M$ bollicked the implemtation of the controller s/ware, as far
as I know it is still not sorted on W98..... only one controller
can be listed in the controller menu active box, and that must be

controller #1.  Hope this helps.

Win95/8 only recognizes the device selected in Device ID #1.  However, I
believe it does keep the calibration information so you can at least
switch back and forth.  But, you are recquired to switch back and forth.

This was something Microsoft felt was important. :)

The device ID# is really a game port number. I know because since I have the
PDPI L4 with 2 ports, i can have two controllers configured.

You can also get 2 devices on an ACM card,

do I need more than 1 gameport or a "joyswitch" to be able to do this?

I think you need two ports. Then the next problem is to select which port is
used by a particular game. PDPI has a utility for this that comes with the
board.

Download a utility called "quick joy " from chproducts.com this will allow
you to swap back and forth between controllers effortlessly. CH's downloads
page is frequently broken if this is the case go to their "contact us " page
and look for the fttp address You can download if from that page directly.

Anyone know how to install more than 1 game controller?

What I've done recently is get a USB joystick.  I leave my T2 screwed
into the game port.  When I want to play a flight sim, I plug in the
USB joystick, and Windows instantly recognizes it and puts it into
slot 1 on the game controllers list, moving the T2 to slot 2.  When
I'm done flying, I unplug the joystick, and Windows removes it from
the controllers list, moving the T2 back up to slot 1, and I'm able
once again to play my favorite flight simulator, Grand Prix Legends.

(Recalibrating the stick is not necessary for it is optical; obviously
with a stick such as the USB version of Thrustmaster's Top Gun (a stick
whose feel I very much like, I might add), it could be slightly less
convenient since you may have to recalibrate every time you plug the
stick in.)
