For those of you who use AOL to access the 'net:
If you visit the TEN site for news about the upcoming NROS for
NASCAR-2, and decide to have a look at their newsgroup, then
AOL will crash if you try to use the internal browser (AOL ver of
MS ie3.0). It's suggested that in accessing this site, that you
use either Netscape, or an seperate version of ie3.0.
I'm not exactly clear on what happens, except that AOL will
continue to open new browser windows until the program reaches
a certain limit. You will receive an error that you are about to
exceed this limit, but nothing short of allowing it to continue
until it crashes will help.
The link discovered that causes this was from the TEN site
reporting on the upcoming NROS. On this page, there's a link
to TEN's NASCAR newsgroup (and one for r.a.s.). It is the link
to the TEN ng that causes AOL to crash.
