ATTENTION TEN NRO USERS: Something fishy please read

I've been on TEN since their grand opening and in the last few days
have been noticing some strange behavior in their system with the
flags they use to test your ping rate. I originally was able to connect
to TEN using my ISP. That is not to say I never got the red flag but
overall really had very little problem.Since Monday it has been virtually
impossible to race on TEN with my ISP, I get the red flag all the time.
Now if I connect using one of TEN's line which has a 1.35 surcharge per
hour I get green flags consistently, get the picture. I have even tested
the ping rate on their line vs my ISP and my ISP line pings out BETTER
than TEN's.Last night tried getting on using TEN's line and got a busy
signal for two hours.
Have any of you NRO guys noticed this. Would like some feedback.Don't
get me wrong I love racing on TEN ,it's much better watching guys swerve
all over the place than dealing with those boring AI cars. Now if I could
just pickup another .3 at Dega I'd be in great shape.See ya on TEN

How did you test it?  Did you do at least a 1000 pings and note the
number of timeouts or excessively high responses (over 400ms or so)?
Did you do a tracert and count the number of hops, noting any slow
points along the way?  A couple of pings isn't going to tell you much.

You also might want to check and make sure you've turned off Software
Compression for your DUN connection.  To do this, goto DUN, right-click
on your connection and choose properties, then goto Server Types.

My TEN account isn't specified in the DUN window. My only 2 listings are my
ISP & Mail account. How do I check properties my TEN dialup is using now ???
Thanks for the info.

Hmmm...replying to my own post ??:-\?...Or if it is my ISP account that I'm
interested in, will turning off Software Compression affect WWW browsing,
can/should I create a unique TEN dialup & how do I tell "Launch TEN" to use
that one ????
