Cart 2000 Release?

Does anyone know when Cart 2000 (ICR3) will be released?  We would like to
be able to play ICR2 over a LAN, however, the game doesn't support it.  We
are hoping ICR3 will support network play.

Well considering the name CART 2000 one would guess sometime in 2000? Maybe
they should change the name already to CART 2001? hehe

    It is my understanding that Sierra/Papyrus has temporarily shelved
Cart2/ICR3. They have the sim rights from Cart till the end of 2001. So I
would assume that if they plan on doing the next generation Cart sim,it will
be done sometime in late 2000 using the same engine as gpl & Nascar 2000.

NHL 99 was released 4th quarter 1998. In time for x-mas.

I would fully expect CART 2000 to be released in 3rd or 4th quarter
this year.

Just remember the Nascar Racing series is the franchise for Sierra/Papyrus.
So I would expect Cart to be released after Nascar Racing 2000.

Well since it looks like Sierra/Papyrus is in no rush to release ICR3, is
there any patches available to allow us to play each other over a Local Area
Network??

Cart 2000 Release?

NHL99 was pretty much an upgrade to NHL98. CART 2000 is a brand new game. It
will take at least 1 1/2 years for them to finish it up, considering how
long it took them to release GPL. Remember that Spring 98 release date of
GPL? Yea we might be seeing CART 2000 3rd or 4th quarter of 2000! Not this
year you can bet on that.
