Does Midtown Madness support split axis or not...please answer this very simple question!!

Hi,

Can someone who uses a wheel with split axis pedals and who owns Midtown
Madness please confirm that this title works with the pedals in split axis
mode.  I have been e-mailing Microsoft back and forth for a week--and I am
still not even sure the tech. person understands what I am referring to.
There is no documentation on the web site or in the manual that refers to
support for split axis.  The third axis shows up in the configuration screen
correctly (as a third axis), but appears not to be supported in the game
itself.

Anyone successfully using MM with split axis pedals please tell me your
controller type and whether you had to do anything special to get it to
work.

Thanks!!

Marc.

It depends. Im not even sure of your question.  What do you mean exactly by
"split axis" ???

If it's the modeling of the game engine which will support the actions of
gas and brake at the same time, similar to what GPL offers, than the answer
is no.

If it's the modeling of the controller input so that your third/fourth axis
can be modeled as "split", similar to Nascar Racing 2 per example, I do
think that yes it is there.

No deal Marc. I can't get Midtown Madness to work in split-axis mode. I have
to switch back to single axis to play.

Wy would you even bother to try to get split axis to work
in that shoddy game. Will it make ANY difference? The game
will still suck and provide 7 minutes' worth of
entertainment. Glad I didn't pay for it.

Me too... Otherwise I'd have to hear you moan endlessly about the
wasted money too.

Personally, I have a blast playing this game on the 'net-- I think
it's great fun.  So there.
