Since I live in Japan, I bought the MS FF wheel and got MTM2 and CPR
free in the box, but with Japanese versions. My OS can display some
Japanese, but then there comes the issue of reading...

Anyway, MTM2 is fun and I can find most of the options I want, but CPR
is unplayable as I can't even get the wheel configured with the
supplied CPL config.

Can anyone help out (eg, send me the English-language MS FF free
software) or is CPR not worth the effort and should I stick to GPL?

    Forget CPR. It looks impressive at first but then it's very
substantial shortcomings ruin it.

They made a patch that improves (but not fix) the steering problems.
Check out some of the sim racing sites (theuspits.com) and see if it
helps. But basicly CPR is not worth the trouble.
