Is it worth it?-->F1rs vs GP2

Hi!

I'm the guy that made the gp2 helmets page, but I've seen red some great
thing about F1rs.
Could you anser the following questions for me??
Thanks very,very much!

1. Does the weather change during a race, or is it wet OR dry ?

2. How long are replays? GP2 had too short replays

3. How is realism during rain??
   Remember Australia 1989? That's what I call wet! :-)

Thanks again!

You might be interested in the work that has started on a paint editor
for F1RS (see http://www.f1racingsim.com/ for links)
.
The weather will change between completely sunny to light rain.  But I
have not seen yet a situation where it will change from wet tire
conditions to slicks in a single race.  (This is in at least 16 100%
races).

About 5 minutes.   No sound currently but I believe that they are
still working on the replays (given the effects of the previous
patch).

Quite good imo.  Although I would like it better if it didn't rain
continuously and had a partially drying track.  These are some of the
suggestions that I will make to Ubisoft (when I'm certain about what I
really wish for).

(BTW, for everyone who has made comments on what they'd like to see in
F1RS, the french F1 Racing page has a suggestion box
http://www.ubisoft.fr/f1racing/f1racing.html )

You're welcome.
Dave.

I think I ran into that at SPA...a partially wet track....rain in some
sections dry in others...most excellent stuff.

I have actually had that happen. I was racing a 50% single race that
started out as fog with a light rain. During the race, the wind picked up
and the sun started peaking through the clouds. Before long, the fog was
gone and the clouds were moving very fast with the sun in the sky. Dried
up quickly after that - it was *very* cool!

Yes, as I said also, I've seen it change from light rain to sunny.
But none of the AI cars went into the pits for a tire change (this was
in a 100% race).  Nor did I see a drastic change in the road surface
when it was lightly drizzling that required changing to wet tires. In
fact, the fog and haze over the road surface was more of a detriment
to me since it hindered visibility and the psychological effect of
having rain come down can also contribute to feeling that the road is
more slippery.   It would require heavy rain such as when the humidity
variable is 50% or more to have a road condition that required wets.

So all I was saying is that I haven't seen it change from dry to a
wet enough condition  yet that required any cars to change tires.  And
I suspect that the current version doesn't implement this.  I haven't
seen anyone mention that they've seen this.  Not that this lessens the
effect that the implemented variable weather has since visibility is
an important variable in the ability to race.  I just want more :-)
