Racing 1999? Their site claims October 1998 but no sign of a demo yet -
sounds a bit dodgy?

I heard the 15th is the release date....By the way, many companies release the
demo AFTER the the game is released to stores.

Yes, I have decided that henceforth, Nascar Racing 3, now named Nascar
Racing 2000, should simply be called NY2K <G>. That way we'll at least
expect a few patches ala Nascar 2 aka Nascar 1999
Not to be confused with Nascar99 <G>.

Naw... it was out really really early. April 6, 1998 . That's 6months before
the release of the title ;-) Of course, the Nascar Racing 2 demo was out
just about 1 month before the release of it. So it's not really
representative of the release date of Nascar Y2K like you said ;-)
Of course, maybe we should bring Rick from TEN.games.simulations.nascar here
for a Lesson 101 on the Y2K bug ?? hahaha ;-))) (NROS inside joke).

Have you not heard? This week is National Y2K awareness week. Clinton
felt we needed it because 80% of small to medium sized businesses have
not yet started on Y2K.
Uh oh....you know what that means. Average salaried code jockeys
working on antiquated government systems will now be in a position to
profiteer their services in the "newly Y2K aware" private sector. One
particular prediction put the number of days left till Y2K that equals
private sector programmer's hourly wage was $360.00/hour.
Look for a mass government programmer exodus to occur VERY soon, leaving
Uncle Sugar high and dry with not *even* a single agency close to being
remediated and ready for testing. Uncle Sugar will have no choice but
to exercise it's authority given under executive order #11000 and
institute a computer programmer draft to "save" our government from
digital collapse.
Don't take NASCAR 1999 for granted. It looks like it will be the *last
release*.
Yours in preparation,
Rick
