Any of you guys race on Xbox Live?  Any of the people I know here, I would
like to hook up with you guys.  I have Project Gotham Racing 2 and TOCA Race
Driver 2.  Will also be getting Rallisport Challenge 2 when it comes out.
Add my gamer tag, "Haqsau", to your Friends list if you want to race with
me.  I mostly do class based racing in PGR2, and I am looking for some
people to race the Formula Fords in TRD2.

I have PGR2. I like it very much!
I hope to have Xbox Live up and running in a couple of weeks. It would be
fun to run some laps with folks from this list!
I think I need to check out TRD2 soon also. >;)

Keep us posted with you Xbox Live experience!

Interesting thing about Xbox Live, there is just as much a mix of wreckers
and serious racers as you find anywhere, but they are much easier to sort
out.  In PGR2 I have learned to stay away from unlimited class or ultimate
class kudos races, because they are populated mostly by people who used
Action Replay to unlock the game and who just want to take the Cerbera out
and wreck everybody.  Pissed me off a bit because I put a lot of time into
earning the Porsche GT1 but the only serious racers at that level are in
exhibition racing, which doesn't earn any points. So I still race mostly in
the lower classes where I can usually find plenty of serious and respectful
racers.  Plus having voice support so you can actually talk to people really
seems to calm people down.  Nothing like reminding people that they are
playing actual human beings to force them to think a little more carefully
before making asses out of themselves.

TRD2 is pretty fun online too.  The format is a little different, instead of
picking tracks the host picks a championship and then runs all the tracks in
the championship in order, with points being totalled all the way through.
Doesn't take that long since they are typically only 3 to 5 lap races each.
The other day I raced in the DTM championship and the V8 Supercar
championship online.  Great fun.  That was the first time I had been to
Adelaide, that track is a blast!  And the host was great, if he saw people
wrecking he would kick them before the next race.  Only problem I saw with
TRD2 online is that there is no built in penalty for cutting the chicanes.
It's enough of a problem that my otherwise serious host just told everybody
to go ahead and cut them since there is no way he could reliably catch it.
Sad, all Codies had to do was put in some logic to detect cutting chicanes,
like NR2003 does with the inner loop at the Glen, and the whole thing could
have been prevented.  But really other than that the game is a lot of fun
online.

Hi,

I don't have TRD2 yet since I'm in europe but I'm going to pick it up
tomorrow when it is released. I play PGR2 regularly, I usually prefer cars
such as Lotur 340R, Lotus Exige, Caterhams (i.e. cars with good
handling/acceleration, but not so high top speed) since people seem to wreck
much less with those cars, I've had some excellent races with those. I don't
know what your timezone is(I am GMT +1) but my gamertag is "Motorkafa". You
can also visit www.xblracing.com to find quite a bit of people playing TRD
2, with future leagues and so on.
