The tires are a real problem on the Honda.Chew em up at a great rate. Love
riding the Kawasaki too but it is really annoying getting blown away on the
straights.

SBK Superbike HELP!!

by Pete » Mon, 05 Apr 1999 05:00:00

Mark, I have found running hardB compound on the rear with
mediums on the front has given the best comprimise of longevity
and speed. I can run a full realistic run at Monza with the Honda
I posted but have slowed to 146's and 7's at the end but didn't
run all out early on in the race to preserve them.

Trouble is my riding style. Using your setup I can win a 15 lapper but
just.....with *** to spare. With my setup I can thrash them for the first 7
or so laps then tip toe around for the rest of the race. On the Ducati I can get
to the 11 or 12 lap mark befor I am in real trouble.

SBK Superbike HELP!!

by Pete » Tue, 06 Apr 1999 04:00:00

Mark, I try to do my setups to run the real length race so they
may be a bit conservative for shorter sprint setups. Tried using
softer compound tires but I found I couldn't be as consistant with
them. I find I have to brake a lot later to get my line right but then
the tires get too hot in the center of the turn causing me to slide
out and getting into the weeds. The more I play this game the
more impressed I am with the physics they used, as small nuances
do make a difference!
I hope that EA use Milestone to do there upcoming F1 game as
SBK is the first real sim EA has done in my opinion!
