Well silly me . GPL works just fine on my system as it is. Papy has done it
again. multiple 3d support. I just select Rendition and away I go. I haven't
checked my frame rates yet because I've been too busy trying to get 'round
without ending up on my head in turn 3 :-))) Seems to me that this thing runs
quite smoothly in Rendition mode. I'd be curious to know what the 3dfx guys
think and if one mode is substantially better than the other ?

I have a P166, Sound Blaster 16, 64 meg of RAM,  a Monster 3dfx, and
that small demo of a game called GPL (a racing sim, I think)  =)))) and
everything is ok! My frame rate is decent, as good as Nascar 2. Maybe
because I'm running the demo in Win95 and not some pre-alpha version of
Win98!

I'm running the game  with a P133 and 32MB ram, also Monster 3D...I know the
min requirements say P166..but everything seems ok..runs fine. Do you think
I'll be able to ryn the full game with my P133?..Is this an indication of
what the min requirements for Nascar3 will be?

I have a 4MB Voodoo1, a Stealth 2, and a K6-233.  I much prefer
Rendition mode at 800x600 w/antialiasing to 3DFX mode.  The sim looks
better (not so blurry textures, etc) and actually runs smoother.
Using the 3DFX, I notice a bit of stutter around the last corner
occasionally (though barely perceptible).  However I have yet to see
the framerate even think about faltering with the Rendition--steady as
a rock in or out of the***pit anyplace on the track.  Of course the
real test will be when there's a full deck of cars in front of me, but
we'll have to wait on Papy for a bit longer for that.

This is definitely a game I will purchase ASAP (along with Comanche
Gold <drool...>)!
