I have the full version, and I can give as much or as few gas as I
want. I think the cruise control is handy because it's quite difficult
to keep the pedal pressed the same amount. You can drive 50, if you
drive above 50 the cops will come after you (I believe it's 50). So at
the moment I drive 50, I press cruise control and I don't have to
worry about going faster because I accidentally press my gas pedal too
much.
To make a long story short: BUY IT! You can't compare it to GPL, it's
a completely different game, but it's fun, fun, fun, and the music is
absolutely fabulous! It gives the right 'streets of san fransisco'
feeling :)
