ICR2 Car Setups - HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

by Vladst » Sun, 17 Mar 1996 04:00:00

I finally decided to upgrade to ICR2, and well, I've had to for about
3 months now, and haven't even touched it..  What a pain in the ass it
is..  I NEED SOME CAR SETUPS - ITS DRIVING ME INSANE!!!

Ok, I needed that.. In ICR I could qualify and win races most of the
time, but in ICR2, forget it..  the one problem that I've noticed is
that the back end always spins out, and I don't know what I'm doing
wrong to correct this..  The manual don't really tell you nothing
about what is going on.. I remember for Nascar there was a file that
guided you through on how to setup atlanta? but where is there one for
ICR2..

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT, AS I LOVE THIS GAME BUT ITS DRIVING ME TO
LUNACY!!!!!

For the first time camber plays a large part in setting up the cars.  On
some courses the car will handle better with certain tires setup with
extra negative camber.  Another thing is there is much less down force
in ICR2 and people are tromping on the gas which causes the rear to
break loose.  I've also found that a little bit of stagger will help get
through the long bends on a couple of the road courses.  This helps keep
the tires from getting to hot.  With the new rules limiting down force
you are experiencing the same thing the real teams did.  Look at Penske
last year.

I found his page under a netsearch, his setups are fast and work well with a T2
although I found with all of them I had to lower the wheel lock by a couple
degrees. He also includes with each track zip a replay of one of his laps.

Address is: http://ourworld.compuserve.com/homepages/atb/
