back (where else would you start? ;) and was pleasantly surprised to
see these reviews. It looks like used sports car guru Kevin Wilson is
also a closet sim-racer. He gives a good review of GPL, praising its
physics engine and accuracy (but not with out picking a few nits),
while acknowledging its steep learning curve and PC HP requirements.
No stars, no numeric rating, just lots of words and sentences and
paragraphs (a dig for our less literate reviewers :). He also talks a
bit about the online community supporting the game, but doesn't
mention RAS. <pout> But we still luv' ya, Kev, if you're reading
this. :)
PS - If you are, memory isn't that important, you can still run 19
opps with 32 meg, but you need the CPU speed to support them.
I'm glad to see this sort of exposure for GPL, since it was a
review of IndyCar Racing in On Track some five years ago that got me
started in racing sims.
Bonus points for the alert readers who can point out the other GPL
reference in this issue...
