Slightly OT: F1 wheel

Before last sunday's race, Alonso was showing a F1 steering wheel.
(Too bad I didn't tape the interview!) Some things he was pointing
out were a button to automatically get into 2nd gear (used very
often for curves), and a not-anymore-used "steering help" button.
Also, there was selector for the LCD screen on the wheel and some
otherr gadgets which I don't remember (aside from the clutch, the
speed limiter for the pits, the automatic upshifter, etc.) Did
anyone else see that? How are sim wheels reproducing this nowadys?

I don't know of a single game that accurately represents a racing wheel. I
know that their are usually like 20 buttons, switches or paddles on a
steering wheel, too much for any game to put on the wheel at the moment.
