FINALLY got GTR2002 working

by Verne » Mon, 09 Dec 2002 10:54:51

Okay...........Jeffrey3465, I owe you a debt of graditude. Changing my
desktop res to 16bit fixed my runtime error. Now that I can get in through
the front door...........I have learned that I STILL cannot drive.
hehehehee, I spend more time correcting my direction due to "ass-end" steer
on pretty much ANY Porsche I choose. I put in Doug's setups.........which
one is this, the "grip" or "track name" choice in car setup....and where can
I change ride height, camber and the likes??? Time to play and learn. Man,
so many tracks, so many cars.....not enough driving experience = FUN times
ahead !!!!!!

Way to go Verne.   I'll have to step back now...when it comes to
driving...I'm NOT the one with the answers.  :)

actually the good setups are the ones with DA_V2 in the titles.   Look way
up top of the track list on the setup folder screen.  You will see on top of
all the track names, a folder called .   yup just dot.  open the . folder
and all of Dougs setups will be there.  BUt wait...there is even a better
way.
Go to the simbin(simmod?) forum and find Doug's complete setup file all
zipped up.  All you need to do is dload that, and unzipp it to the setup
folder inside your driver folder:
f1 2002\save\YOUR NAME HERE\setups
make sure the option to  'use folder names' is checked.  That will
separate all the files into their proper track folders.

You can get the setup zip here:
http://www.simmods.com/forums/index.php?s=2ce55ced0558356fbc353cb896b...
go to the gtr 2002 forum and it should be one of the first topics...doug's
setups I think.
first message of that thread has the link to dload the file.
