I have a question for all of you out there with a TM NASCAR Pro Wheel.
Do you guys have a little bit of "play" in your wheel ???  Mine is not
loose or anything like that... but there is a little bit of play in it.
I was just curious if this is natural and regular or not.  Ive only had
it 5 days so I could return it if necessary.

Thanks in advance.

I just got one and yes there is a bit of natural feeling play that seems
fine. It works great. If more than perhaps 1/2 inch I think you got a bad
one . Their site Thrustmaster has some info in it and others will answer
here.

I had this problem too, but I found how to fix it.
Under the steering column is a philips head screw.  Get a philips head
***driver, and gently tighten it up.  Then test your wheel for
slackness.  It took all of the slack out of my wheel!
Unfortunatly, I discovered this the night after my gas pedal spring
broke, and effectivly took me out of winter testing for a little
while......

Waiting patiently for the package from Thrustmaster,
Brandon

Since my posting this morning, I had e few requests already about my
modifications on N2pro pedals. So here it goes.

Attached is the BMP drawing of the spring mods for N2 pro pedals.  However,
it does not have detailed instructions as I assumed that someone with
average handyman skills would be able to figure out from the drawing.  So,
if you have any questions please let me know.  This was just a quick
attempt by me to improve the spring design with a simple modification.
When I first heard that the pedals used springs, I assumed that they were
springs the kind I envisioned and knew others, like TSW, used.  Upon
opening after it broke, I realized that the springs were not like that.  So
I started to look for a solution that would be  more reliable.  I may be
wrong of course, considering (and assuming :-) ) all the research went into
the design of the TM N2Pro.

There are short comments on the drawing itself.  You will need to find some
spiral springs approximately about  1/4" diameter and 3/4" in length, as
someone mentioned, something like carburetor springs.  You will also need
corner brackets about 1 3/4" long on one side.  The other side can be a
little longer or shorter.  I made mine by bending 3/4" wide straight
brackets.

The nice thing about my modification is that it does not alter the original
structure and can be restored back if desired.  All you have to do is
disconnect the new springs and put back the originals.

I am sure that others might have much better ideas than this, but for
whatever it is worth, this is my quick design  and modification.  As this
is very recent, I cannot report on long term results, but, in worst case I
don't expect them to be any worse than the originals.

Have fun, and let me know if it was useful or if you have any suggestions.

If you find it useful, send me your killer setups :-)
